a crafty port of call
Dr. Seuss has always been a great source of inspiration for me. His words remain with me in various situations and encourage me to remain open, optimistic and reminds of the “Thinks” I can think. I also like to visit the Dr. Seuss, Seussville website – it’s not just for little kids, us big kids can have fun there too!
So, two days early……
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss
I mentioned in a previous post about little fishy’s to crochet. We had another snow day in New England and instead of making the fish with worsted yarn, I used crochet thread I had on hand. It just happens I had the same colors as the fish on the cover of Dr. Seuss’s book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish.
I tried to display the fish with a yellow or orange background, then I got the inspiration, like BAM! out of no where to sandwich them in a float frame. I have another idea for the float frame that you will just have to stay tuned for.
“Did you ever fly a kite in bed?
Did you ever walk with ten cats on your head?
Did you ever milk this kind of cow?
Well, we can do it. We know how.
If you never did, you should.
These things are fun and fun is good.”
