Fast and Easy Crochet Heart Motif How To

You too can make a fast and easy crochet heart that is perfect for Valentines Day, bridal and baby showers, embellishments for cards or scrapbooks and can be made in any weight yarn you have available.

I have been making these quick to stitch hearts for years and they literally do work up in no time – usually about 5-6 minutes per heart – how’s that for last minute fun?

Fast and Easy Crochet Heart Motif

In the video, I used a worsted weight yarn and a size H Crochet Hook (5.00 mm)

The written directions are below:

Fast! Easy!Crochet Heart Motif

Round 1: Chain 4, make all stitches in the first chain. Work 3 treble crochets , 3 double crochets, chain 1, 1 treble crochet, chain 1, 3 double crochets, 3 treble crochets, chain 2 and slip stitch.

Round 2. Chain 3, in first treble crochet make single crochet and a half double crochet, in next stitch work 3 half double crochets, in next stitch work 2 half double crochets then 1 single crochet in the next four stitches. Next chain1 and work one double crochet in treble crochet then chain 1. Now you will single crochet in next four stitches then 2 half double crochets in next stitch, 3 half double crochets in the following stitch, and 1 half double crochet and 1 single crochet in the last stitch. Chain 3 and slip stitch in joining. Fasten off.
