I’ve been in beachy mood with all this winter weather in New England. Now with the thought of more snow to come on Sunday, I wanted to make something to remind me of summer. I came across this post from The Green Dragonfly and this “Little Fishy Bunting” will fit the bill. I will make little fishy’s as the snow is falling – stay tuned for pictures to follow.

Fishy Bunting Cute fishy bunting, just the type of bunting a little boy who loves fishing would like… and the best part is its super easy to make!

Select your yarn and a corresponding hook, (I used a mix of yarn scraps which were all about 8ply and a 3.5mm hook). Lets begin…

1. Make a magic circle, chain 2 and Double Crochet (DC) 9 times into the circle.  Pull tight and secure with a slip stitch (10DC)

Fishy Bunting2. Slip stitch into the next stitch (I do this because its more secure to start there), Chain 2 and 4DC into the same stitch, 1DC into each of the next 4 stitches. 5DC into the next stitch, 1DC into each of the next 4 stitches, join round with a slip stitch (body made).
